James Giant Tree $28.95 per tree
In 1947, George James found the famous James Giant Tree on his farm. He obtained a patent on the tree, which produces a pecan which is superior to other pecans adapted in the north because the nuts are much larger, have a thinner shell, and kernels that are plump and delicious. Kernels separate cleanly from the shell and are exceptionally good quality. This tree is vigorous and hardy and yields a plentiful crop even after winters of -26 degrees. It is self-pollinating. Approximately sixty-four nuts make a pound. U.S. Plant Patent Number 1361.

James Pecan Tree (not available at this time) $21.95 per tree
In 1965, George James noticed the tree that would become the JAMES PECAN TREE. The nut of this tree is large. These nuts crack easily and kernels are light in color, crack out cleanly, and are easily separated from the shell. This self- pollinating tree is beautiful, sturdy with a rounded shape, as the limbs protrude outward instead of reaching to the heavens, giving the tree strong and rounded crotches. U.S. Plant Patent Number 1607.

James Hican Tree $28.95 per tree
In 1976, George James discovered the JAMES HICAN TREE on the farm. A Hican is a cross between a pecan and a hickory nut. The James Hican has the flavor of a hickory with the shelling characteristics of a pecan kernel, coming out in halves. The tree is tall and sturdy, hardy like the shag bark hickory with leaves that resemble those of the hickory tree. The crotches of the tree are strong, making a good shade tree. These self-pollinating trees grow rapidly and can be planted where there have been wild hickory or pecan trees with no problem. Harvest time is around the first of October. Thirty-six nuts make a pound and 3-4 nuts grow in a cluster. U.S. Plant Patent Number 3877.

James Early Pecan Tree (not available at this time) $21.95 per tree
In 1991, Bill James discovered the JAMES EARLY PEACN TREE. He and his father share a patent for this tree, ”A New Nut for the North.” The tree is medium-sized and sturdy with an upright and spreading growth habit, a good bearer, and has hardiness to withstand temperatures of -20 degrees with no deleterious effects. This tree is valuable for northern regions with shorter growing seasons. We have harvested mature nuts from the tree as early as August 28, which is 15-20 days earlier than the Starking Hardy Giant. Clusters have 3-5 nuts, and 104 nuts make a pound. The shell is thin and the nut is slender; the nut cracks easily and releases the kernels well. This nut has a delicious flavor with high oil content. U.S. Plant Patent Number 7419.
